SAT. 10.19.19 CIRCUIT AVE
LADYFEST is an annual music festival held on Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs, MA and presented by The Ritz Cafe on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. It was co-founded by Rose Guerin and Kelly Feirtag in 2017, with special assistance by The Ritz Cafe owner, Larkin Stallings. The event features musical artists from many genres including rock, soul, and pop. The event includes several stages, with the main stage anchored at the top of Circuit Ave and a secondary stage in Healy Square.
LADYFEST partners with the island’s own CONNECT To End Domestic Violence. The mission of CONNECT is to reduce domestic and sexual violence on Martha’s Vineyard by changing the social norms through education, advocacy, and community mobilization. This also includes providing crisis intervention services, counseling, and support services for victims.
A portion of profits goes directly to CONNECT, with funds assisting victims with housing, bills, groceries, and any other needs. For more info - click here
LADYFEST also partners with Mvyradio, the Vineyard’s own non-commercial local radio station.
“A lot of people are surprised there is such a huge amount of support for victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence,” she said. “It’s such a fun event, and really gives everyone an excuse to come together and enjoy the night.”
-Jennifer Neary : Program Director, CONNECT To End Domestic Violence
"Oak Bluffs came back to life tonight."

A few years ago, Kate and Jemima began singing harmonies together on Hazel Dickens songs. Rose and Jemima sang together at the Ritz and in living rooms. The three women got together for the first time when Rose and Jemima sang back up on Kate's original birthday song for Peter Simon. The women liked what they heard and now bring their joy, sass and harmonies to a variety of alternate venues, including the Martha’s Vineyard Museum, the West Tisbury Farmer's Market and Ladyfest! on Oct 19th.

Barbara has lived on the Vineyard since 1985. She worked as a singer and guitarist in the 70’s and 80’s and then, starting in the mid 80‘s, as a radio DJ and program director at WMVY. After leaving MVY in 2018, she returned to music making. This is her second time at LADYFEST.
Sabrina + the Groovers
9:00PM : Island Theatre
Sabrina and the Groovers started out as a duo (Sabrina & Groover) playing a benefit for a children’s summer camp at the Ritz Cafe. We assembled a variety of songs from funk to pop and we were huge hit. After playing as a duo for a couple years we decided to add a bassist and a drummer to round out the lineup. This greatly increased the song list allowing us to cover Led Zeppelin hits in between funky dance tunes. While personnel has changed a-bit over the years, one consistent ideal has remained to be the band with the greatest variety of music.
